CONTITHERM - for products with extended shelf-life

The name of the CONTITHERM is derived from continous working motion. Without "stop and go" products with extended shelf-life are filled, i.e. low-count products which have to be distributed within the cooling chain. The sterilizing procedure used for the ultra-clean standard achieves a high rate of germ reduction. Cups and lids are sterilized by hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) vapour which condenses into a fine film on the inner surfaces. This condensate is heated by means of hot air in order to reach a temperature which is suitable for safe sterilization. The complete filling area from the cup drying station to the heatsealing station constantly is under sterile air overpressure, thus preventing recontamination from ambient air. Alternatively high-speed UV-C emitters are available for cup and lid sterilization. The dosing units without moving sealings increase the availability of the CONTITHERM.

CONTITHERM 123P

All basic CONTITHERM versions are available in hygienic or ultraclean execution. Packaging material is the same as used for the DOGATHERM, i.e. stackable tubs and cups from PP, PS, paper, aluminium, and compounds which are closed by heatsealing of a precut aluminium membrane, paper, compounds as well as plastic lids. The CONTITHERM also accepts monomaterial (cups and lids made from the same plastic material) which is easy to recycle.
